Water Leak Credit Application

If a water leak causes your water use to be much higher than normal, you may qualify for a water leak credit.

The City only gives leak credits for water used in the higher-priced tiers. If your water use stayed within the lowest rate tier (for example, 20,000 gallons or less per month for a single-family home), you will not be eligible for a leak credit.

To request a credit:

  • Repair the leak.

  • Submit this form within 60 days after the repair is completed.

  • Include copies of repair receipts.

You can receive only one leak credit every 12 months.

The credit can cover up to three consecutive months of high water use. If the leak lasted longer than three months, the City will calculate the credit using the three consecutive months with the highest usage.

If your request is approved, the credit will appear on your next utility bill.

You must continue paying your utility bill while your request is being reviewed. Not paying your bill could result in late fees or service shutoff, even if you expect to receive a credit.
